Treasa B. Parakkat - President

Parakkat has served in the advanced research and development and information technology industries for more than 20 years. She began her career at the University of Kentucky’s Distributed Microsystems Laboratory (Lexington, KY) and has held positions at Greystone Technologies (San Diego, CA), Oak Ridge National Laboratory (Oak Ridge, TN), Southwest Research Institute, (San Antonio, TX), and Noesis, Inc. (Arlington, VA). She has been serving as the President of dFuzion, Inc. (Ashburn, VA) for the last 10 years.

Parakkat specializes in information sciences and engineering, custom software and systems applications, visualization and simulation solutions, web technology solutions, and enterprise database development. She has an extensive background in modeling, simulating, and implementing software for real-time information acquisition systems. She also has significant technical project management experience and has worked on several successful SBIR efforts for the Department of Transportation and the Department of Homeland Security.

Parakkat is widely recognized as one of the foremost authorities on advanced sensor data distribution methods for military unmanned air systems and has developed custom solutions for the US Joint Forces Command, Naval Warfare Development Command, and the Department of Homeland Security. She was awarded an achievement award from the US Navy for her development and support role to the Navy’s Joint Operational Test Bed (JOTBS).

Parakkat holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kentucky.
